Hello, everyone. I hope you all are having a very happy Wednesday! Almost through the work week! I thought this week would be a great time to do a post on picnic favorites! Picnics can be a lot of fun, and I think you're missing out if you've never been on one! Get some ideas below and try it!
Item #1 is from PreppyPinkies
So, if you're really going to have a picnic, the first thing you need is a picnic basket. How else are you going to carry your foodstuffs and not smash them?! This particular picnic basket is made from willow that has been woven in double strands to create a sturdy bottom. The top is stained composite wood that can be used as a level surface for drinks or food. The liner is removable and can be personalized to fit your needs. I know sometimes carrying baskets isn't all that comfortable for your hands, but this basket has some handy dandy woven straps that won't dig into your hand!
Item #2 is from CottonMood
You can picnic on the ground or on park benches, but the ground makes the experience much more authentic. This throw is made of cotton and stone washed. It's also lightweight and highly absorbent--extra plus if you spill something! If gray isn't your color, fear not! The shop has lots of awesome listings for other blankets. It's use is not limited to picnics--you can use it for concerts, beach days, or home decor!
Item #3 is from HoffmasterWoodworks
This one is if you want to really get fancy, and, yes, I highly recommend getting a bit fancy on your picnic! What I have found here is very awesome--a collapsible wine table that holds a bottle of your favorite wine and two wine glasses. You don't have to worry about them falling over! How does it stick in the ground? Glad you asked! At the bottom there is an aluminum spike on the bottom to hold the table in place in the ground or on the sandy beach. It collapses into a small size when you're done--perfect for storing until the next outing! Engraving is also an option, but I like the look without it.
Item #4 is from PiperGraceSupplyCo
I think these babies are just neat. Little wooden forks, spoons, and knives. You'll get 25 of each. You may wonder why I'm suggesting this--they are biodegradable, and you don't want to risk losing your regular silverware. They also would give the picnic (or any other occasion) a more rustic uniqueness.
Item #5 is from CognitiveSurplus
If you don't want stemmed wine glasses that you can hold in your handy table listed above, I've found a very nice set of stemless ones. These glasses have summer and winter constellations on them (one on each glass). The images are printed on with a metallic, eco-friendly ink and are then fired to a point where the ink becomes part of the finish. No flaking! They'd be great to use day or night, but they'd definitely be magical at night!
That's all I have for you this week, my lovelies! I hope you've gotten some awesome ideas for your next picnic...or maybe your first! Let me know how it goes on your next picnic here in a comment or on Twitter or Facebook! Now, head on over to your favorite handmade site and show some artists some love!
Until next time,
