Hello, everyone! I hope you're doing well! It's been a busy past week here in my little studio! Blog posts, creating, and...a craft show!! I'll post about that later ;) We all know Mother's Day is coming up on May 8th, so if you haven't gotten anything for your mom or grandmothers, I've got some ideas for you!
Item #1 is from LaLaCrystal
This family tree bracelet would be a really cute gift for moms and grandmothers. It is made of tarnish resistant matte gold over brass with two gold plated, personalized leaf charms on a 14K gold filled chain. You can also get a silver finish if that's your mom or grandmother's favorite. For the leaves, you can put the initials of each child or the initials of grandchildren or great-grandchildren. This bracelet comes with two leaves, but you can get more for it here. You also have a choice in the size, so make sure you add that in your notes to the buyer along with the color and initials. This would be a great memory keeper!
Item #2 is from TaylorSigns
If your mom or grandmother likes to cook or bake, then this would be an awesome addition to her kitchen. I'm sure many of us have memories of our mothers and grandmothers cooking up so scrumptious goodies for us! Everything always tasted so GOOD--probably because it was made with love :) This particular sign is completely custom made. Each piece has routered edges, painted in your chosen color (the back is unpainted), contains a keyhole on the back for mounting, and has professional vinyl lettering. You have three colors to choose for the sign: (1) the back and (2&3) graphics colors. Make sure you pick colors that will go with her kitchen to make it even more special!
Item #3 is from LittleFlowerSoapCo
What mom/grandmother doesn't enjoy pampering time? If your mom or grandmother is one that does enjoy pampering, I'd consider this box of goodies. It's like bringing the spa to your mom/grandmother's home! Each box comes with a soap, lip balm, bath salt, muscle rescue balm, and skin rescue balm--all of which are tied up inside with navy grosgrain ribbon and gift tag. The soap is made from coconut oil and olive oil and comes in one of three scents: Lavender Lemongrass, Rosemary Lemon Mint, or Tea Tree Lime Almond. There are seven lip balms available: Lavender, Almond, Vanilla, Pina Colada, Raspberry, Tangerine, and Peppermint. These stay put on the lips and contain no sugar that might make one want to lick her lips. (Remember the days of Lip Smackers?) For the bath salt, you can pick the pink grapefruit (a blend of Himalayan pink salt, Epsom Salt, baking soda and pink grapefruit essential oil) or Lavender (a blend of Dead Sea Salt, Epsom Salt, Baking Soda and Lavender Essential oil), but you have to make a note of it at checkout. Definitely a great option!
Item #4 is from rebeccaplotnick
Another great idea for a gift would be a photographer's print that you could frame. These kinds of things are always in houses I've been into. I think they add a bit of charm to the room they're put in. This particular photo stood out to me because of the colors. Now, I'm not a fan of pink, but the orange wall behind the bicycle actually tones the level of pinkness down to a more tolerable level for me. The positioning of the bicycle within the photo makes it really stand out and draw your attention. You can get this in several sizes: 8x10 through 30x45, but make sure you can get a frame that's that size or have one custom made.
Item #5 is from ORTUPESKimonoRobes
I saw this robe, and my first thought was, "I think that's Amy Butler fabric!" I'm a freak for her fabrics because they're always so colorful and just gorgeous in general! I need a drool bucket when I find these fabrics. Anyway, a robe might be a great idea for your mom or grandmother (pretty much any female on the planet), especially if she wants to change out of work clothes and just relax. These kimono robes come in different lengths, but I'm a fan of the shorter one. If you'd like, you can also have a flannel liner added. There is also an option for sleeve length, but I like the 3/4 sleeve because I don't like having to constantly push up my sleeves. It does ask for measurements when ordering, I'd suggest trying to find out even though the robe isn't meant to be form fitting. If it were me, I'd find out measurements by looking at clothing or getting my sibling to do it--You have to be a little covert when it's a gift!
That's all for today, my friends! I hope you've gotten some great ideas for mother's day (or any day celebrating the influential ladies in your life--maybe you have an idea for yourself!). If you're a mom or grandmother, enjoy your day because you definitely deserve it!!
As always, make sure to visit your favorite handmade site(s) and show some artists/makers some love!
Until next time,
