So, we finally got our engagement pictures done! I guess it's about time considering the wedding is two months away..haha. I honestly took a long time for me to find a photographer whose style I loved. I just kept seeing more of the same things over and over. I wanted something unique, something nobody else would have (different poses, different shots, etc). I can't tell you how many different photographers I looked through. My fiance was getting bombarded with links to different people with me asking, "Do you like this one?," and , "Do you like that one?" He was pretty much done with looking for a photographer. I guess most guys are though, right? I told him initially that this was going to be the area that I would be the most picky about and where I would most likely be willing to spend more. Imagine two weeks of non-stop looking. I FINALLY found the perfect photographer. Her style was everything that I was looking for, and my fiance was pleased as well.
Her style is primarily documentary with a little bit of posing; it's what I call photojournalism. It captures the moments as they happen and looks so much more realistic of life than the often overly posed pictures you see. That was the one thing I did not want--overly posed pictures.
So far the experience we've had has been incredibly enjoyable. Nothing felt forced--she did guide us a little bit, but we were allowed to make it our own. I'll be sharing some pictures below for you to see now (the photographer information will be above them), and I'll show more after the wedding :)
