Hello, everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday and are ready for this week's weekly roundup! Today, continuing with the wedding series, I've got some great ideas for putting together a bridal shower! You'll also notice a theme here--succulents, mint, coral, and gold--I couldn't help myself. This is a big event in addition to the big day, so I picked some things that I think would make it stand out as well!
Item #1 is from KirraReynaDesigns
Originally, I started off with a different invitation, but I changed my mind when I stumbled across an idea (Pinterest) that used succulents. This resonated a bit more with me for some reason. What I really like about this design is the option to print it yourself or let the maker print it for you! All you do is provide the information and then a proof is sent to you. I'm really liking the color combination here as well as the variation in the font styles. The illustration itself is just gorgeous with the cacti, succulents, and roses. The maker's shop is full of beautiful designs and matching coordinates, so make sure to check her out!
Item #2 is from rosiedaydesign
Something I though would be cute to include in the invitation would be a recipe card. I say include it with the invitation because it gives the receiver of the invitation time to pick a recipe to share instead of putting them on the spot at the shower to write it down when they probably don't have it memorized. I only have one recipe that I can recall from memory, so I'm sure others out there are the same :) Having recipe cards allows the bride to start building her recipe stash with tried and true recipes from those she cares about. This is also another printable that you can print any number of times--quite useful if your head count keeps changing!
Item #3 is from IchabodsImagination
Banners are really trendy right now as is burlap, so you're definitely set with this piece and it matches the color scheme of this post (mint, coral, and gold). The letters and hearts are painted on the burlap giving the banner a nice texture. This banner is 50 inches long and has extra twine on each end for hanging/tying.
Item #4 is from iDoTags
I thought this would be something neat if you were having a brunch shower...Mimosas!!! I personally haven't seen this before, but I haven't been invited to very many bridal showers either (I'm not a hermit, but I am an introvert, so a lot of people perceived me as odd, so that might be why). Mimosas are quite tasty, but make sure you have something for those that don't drink any alcohol.
Item #5 is from TheLittleThingsEV
This garland is really cute and would look very nice draped around the banner or around the room. It's something different from the norm (balloons). You can hang it lengthwise, vertical, diagonal, or any direction you choose! The listing is for one yard, so make sure you know your dimensions. There are also different sizes of the circles available--1, 1.25, 1.5, and 2 inch diameters. The ones in the image are 1.5 inch coral and mint circles and 1.25 inch gold glitter circles. Check out the listing for the sizes available because the sizing is different with the coral and mint vs the gold glitter.
Item #6 is from ConfettiGirls
You always need a little something to decorate the tables with, and I thought these confetti circles would be something to add a little glitz and glamour to the table in addition to some sort of centerpiece. These pieces are half an inch in diameter, but you can get them in a larger 1.25-inch size as well!
Item #7 is from LaFleurSucculente
Normally, you don't have to do favors for the bridal shower, but I see that it's becoming more popular now than in previous years, so I thought, "why not?" To go with the invitation, I think these succulents would be wonderful favors for attendees! A little plant not easily killed. The maker sells these as collections in sets of 20, 2-inch pots and are hand picked to ensure the best quality and assortment. The plants are shipped semi-bare root with care instructions in a 100% recycled material. Make sure you unpack the box right away to make sure there is not damage and to get them some water so they adjust. Also note that these are frost tender and should not be shipped to areas with daytime temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (they do have heat packs available if these are your desired plant though!)
A lot of planning goes into bridal showers, so don't think it's as easy as getting these items and then you're done. No, siree! You've also got a TON of tiny details to consider as well. For those, make sure you check out sites like The Knot, Real Simple, and MarthaStewartWeddings.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you've gotten some ideas for throwing a bridal shower! Please feel free to share, pin, or tweet this to your friends, and tune in next week for another edition to the wedding series!
Until next time,
