Hello, Hello, everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday! We're halfway to the weekend! Woohoo! Aside from that, I've got a brand new Weekly Wednesday for you! This week I thought Minimalist jewelry would be a good topic to delve into. The jewelry that falls into this category is very simple but still makes a statement. Sometimes less is more. I've browsed around Etsy longer than I should have (and may have bought some things in the process) and found some fantabulous pieces that I know you all are going to love.
Item #1 is from ApseAdore
Aren't these little earrings cute?!? They remind me of some concrete jewelry I featured a while back. The simplicity of these earrings literally makes them. For something that's a basic shape and neutral color, they sure do make a bold statement. Another great thing with these earrings is their versatility. You can pair them with anything to add a little something--business, casual, professional, and even formal. There aren't a lot of pieces that can be worn in that many facets of life, so these are well worth the cash...and maybe in more than one color! I'd probably end up with at least two colors, but I don't wear earrings that much....maybe I should though. The makers of these lovely earrings go a step further than most companies and are donating 10% of all the items purchased to a non-profit group. You can choose from Fight the New Drug, HeForShe, or The A21 Campaign--all are great causes to support.

I've gotten to where I'm loving stacked rings here lately. I don't know what it is about them, but I like them more than just the single rings. Maybe it's because there's more visual interest in the stacking sets. The listing is only for one ring, but I feel like the price is spot on. Save some cash and splurge a little because every woman needs a nice ring/rings to wear. Am I right? You can get either shiny sterling silver or oxidized sterling silver. I personally am loving the oxidized sterling silver, but I can say if I purchased more than one, I'd mix up the finishes--maybe 2 oxidized and 1 shiny or 2 shiny and 1 oxidized. The slight overlap gives this ring and interesting detail without being too bold. This is also another versatile piece you'd want to have in your accessories to put the finishing touch on your outfit.
Item #3 is from BaubleVine
The first thing that caught my eye about these bangles was the mixed metals. You don't see that a lot, and I feel like it's because many people think it's a no-no to mix silver and gold, but it's very trendy, and I think it will stick around for a good while. You do get a choice at check out, so if you prefer all one metal, you can get this set that way. If you want to mix them with other bangles, she has many in here shop that would go great with this set. You can get the chunky look without it really looking "chunky." Simplicity always goes a long way. The set includes an eternity bracelet, marquis bracelet, and an oval bracelet (referring to the centers). These are closed bracelets meaning they can't be opened like a cuff, so definitely pay attention to the sizing. Another piece I'd hurry to add to my accessory stash.
Item #4 is from Edor
You know me--I love unique things, so it's fitting that I chose a rather unique ring. :) Normally, when you see a ring, it's a solid circle. I like that this one challenges our usual view of what is considered a ring. This is referred to as a cuff ring because you can adjust it a little bit (it's just not recommended that you bend it completely out of shape---know what I mean?). It is made of 14K rose gold, which I use to not be a fan of.....but it's growing on me quickly just like stacked rings. In on of the photos on the listing, you can see a way to stack this ring by opening and closing rings more than another to get an interesting visual texture. The artist has a lot of pieces in her shop, and I could see combining this one (or maybe two of this one) with some of the other listings. This is something you won't have to worry about what you'll wear it with....it's more like, "What can't I wear this ring with?"
Item #5 is from TheVioletGoat
I've seen several designs that use silver tubing, but I like the way this design features just the single tube. Of course, you have the chain, but it doesn't take away from the focal point (the silver tubing). It's very delicate and would go well with a number of outfits and occasions. The tube itself is about two inches long, and the chain length can be chosen at checkout.
That's all I have for you today. I thought I'd feature a smaller number of items to not clutter the post....trying to stay with the minimal theme...haha. Anyway, make sure to go to your favorite handmade site and show some artists/makers/designers some love and tune in next week for another edition of the Weekly Wednesday Roundup!
Until next time,

Hello, everyone! It's been a hot, hot summer so far, and it's only going to get hotter from here! When it's so hot outside, we usually want to stay inside and avoid the heat, but sometimes you have to get out and have some fun. And...I'm sure the first thing you think of is, "What am I going to wear?!" You don't want to sacrifice looking stylish but you don't want to have a heat stroke either. Check out these pieces of clothing that will keep you cool and stylish in the heat!
Item #1 is from ImagineFormalCasual
One way to keep cool this summer is to wear loose-fitting items of clothing. There's nothing worse than not being able to pull your pants up because you're so sweaty (I've done it, and it's not pleasant). Tighter clothing = extra time pulling up clothing and feeling suffocated.I like this top because it's simple and sleek. You can never go wrong with black, but I do suggest wearing it more at night since it tends to absorb heat. You may not notice it, but this top is a racerback. You get a little more air movement that way. Another plus to this sleek and simple piece are the adjustable straps. That may not be a big deal to some people, but when you're like me (short and small chest), you need those straps to achieve the same look.
Item #2 is from AmericanCuteness
I LOVE these shorts. They're so colorful...makes me feel like I'm on vacation somewhere tropical! This pair of shorts is made from breathable 100 % cotton. You could wear these pretty much anywhere--as part of a swim suit cover-up, vacation, or just at home trying to stay cool. It's definitely a plus when you can wear it pretty much anywhere. The little pom poms add a cute touch that completes the look of the shorts. I'd have to say that the two things that caught my attention were the colors and the pom poms..haha. These aren't only for women--you can get them in toddler and girl sizes up to size 7 if you want to go for a matchy look with your little girl.
Item #3 is from solemareny
Who doesn't like the feel of silk on their skin? No one, right? This cute top is 100 % silk and probably one of the silkiest summer shirts you need right now. What more could you want? It's soft, flowy, and colorfiul--all perfect for summer. The waist has elastic to create the draped effect, so it can be moved to the best place on the waistline. This top can be paired with pretty much anything..casual, business..and can go across seasons.
Item #4 is from SkirtEffect
This dress is definitely one of my favorites on this roundup! I love the color and how flowy it is. You'll be cool and fabulously stylish in this low cut, halter dress. It's also lined, so if you don't want to wear a bra (and honestly, I don't know how you would) you don't have to. Sometimes bras just make you hotter in the summer time. The tassel halter tie is adjustable and adds interest to the back. Make sure you get this one on your list ASAP.
Item #5 is from InLoveIn
I think everyone likes to wear a longer dress from time to time, so I thought this would be something to wear out on a summer evening. You could wear it to dinner, to a party, or just sitting under the stars. It's very versatile so that's a definite plus. I also think throwing some red into your wardrobe adds a little va-voom. Red is a power color, and with this dress design, you have combination that equals a stunning dress. Flow is in style right now and it keeps you cool--plus it has a low-cut back with a little bit of visual interest, so show off that back!
That's all I've got for you today, everyone! I hope you've gotten some ideas for staying cool and still being fashionable during the summer, which isn't necessarily easy to do! Go outside and have some fun, but remember to stay cool and hydrated and not overdo it!
Head over to your favorite handmade site and show some makers some love!
